New TPR PhD: Mehran Farzadmehr

On 10 February, Mehran Farzadmehr succesfully defended his PhD on 'AI-powered solutions assessment in port and maritime sector', under supervision by Thierry Vanelslander and Valentin Carlan.

Funded under the EU research program, the PIONEERS Ports project is demonstrating different strategies that ports can use to decrease their environmental impact while staying competitive. This free, online course offers first-hand insights from specialists and the PIONEERS demonstrators on innovative solutions for decarbonising port ecosystems focusing on the various demo applications developed in the project.

TPR @ SyTaDel project closing event

On 18 February, the VLAIO projects SyTaDel and PILL held their joint closing event. It was a true testimony what open innovation collaboration can achieve within the timeframe of a project when all partners are truly invested. We are one step closer again to deployment of Physical Internet and syncrhomodal solutions with the new research results in data spaces in logistics.

TPR hosted Pharma Logistics Winter School in Abu Dhabi

We recently wrapped up Abu Dhabi’s first Pharma Logistics Winter University to celebrate an incredible week of learning, collaboration, and innovation in the pharma logistics industry. The event brought together industry leaders, academics, and regulators, with participants successfully completing the five-day programme and receiving certificates

TPR hosted Hamburg Winter School

TPR hosted its 3rd Winter School on ‘Transport & Logistics’ in Hamburg. Together with 15 students, we dived into the maritime, transport, and logistics ecosystem of this dynamic city. At the Internationales Maritimes Museum Hamburg, students of the Winter School Transport & Logistics got a feel of maneuvering in busy waterways, a perfect introduction to the complexities of global trade and logistics.
