PhD Eleni Moschouli: transport infrastructure

On 24 November 2021 at 4.30pm, Eleni Moschouli will defend her PhD thesis on the topic of 'Transport infrastructure decision-making: an instrument to identify the combinations of conditions under which project objectives can be achieved', under supervision by Thierry Vanelslander. The session will be held onsite and online, and is open to all, upon registration.

TPR zoekt doctoraalonderzoeker stedelijke economie

TPR heeft een vacature voor een doctoraatsonderzoeker stedelijke economie en logistiek. In Vlaanderen staat vandaag 11,1% van de handelspanden leeg. Veel gemeenten geven aan dat ze niet goed weten hoe te beginnen aan de handelskernversterking en vragen daar expertise en ondersteuning voor.

Permanente vorming Douane & Accijnzen

TPR draagt bij aan de permanente vorming Douane en Accijnzen, een modulair samengestelde, academisch georiënteerde specialisatieopleiding die in samenspraak met de FOD Financiën en met medewerking van de privésector wordt georganiseerd. In dit programma worden de basisbegrippen en leerstukken binnen het brede domein van douane en accijnzen belicht door zowel docenten uit de praktijk alsook uit de academische wereld.

Logistics thesis of the year

TPR alumna Hanne Ooms is the winner of the Flows Logistics Thesis of the Year 2021. Her thesis on the role of artificial intelligence in predictive maintenance in logistics convinced the jury. The top three is further composed of TPR student Jana Rehbein and also Anton Smidts, who started his master programme at TPR after getting his bachelor from AP.

Ann Verhetsel joined external PhD jury

Ann verhetsel was a member of the PhD jury of Fuseina Mahama-Musah, who successfully defend her thesis at the VUB on 7th October 2021 on the topic of 'Essays on Spatial Aspects of Consumer Behaviour: Leveraging Insights from Consumer Mobility and Omni-Channel Shopping Behaviour to Inform Retail Strategies'

Two TPR emeriti celebrated

UA's Faculty of Business and Economics celebrated the retirement of 2 of its professors Hilde Meersman and Eddy Van de Voorde. They were thanked extensively for their efforts during their professional careers, by their colleagues and by dean, vice-dean and rector.

Successful NOVIMAR final event in Antwerp

The NOVIMAR project held its final conference on 7th October in Antwerp. After 4 years of extensive research and hard work, the end conference at the Antwerp Port House was the place to be to get up to speed with the end results of research on the semi-autonomous Vessel Train concept.

eHubs project releases 5th newsletter

The European Interreg project eHubs, to which TPR participates, just released its 5th newsletter. The project enables six partner cities from five different countries to realise and promote eHUBS and pave the way for others to do the same.
