The Horizon Europe Green Deal project PIONEERS held a number of fruitful workshops: one session was dedicated to the Green Port master planning process and another focused on the framework of how to break down the barriers in the demos as an important aspect of PIONEERS is to identify & mitigate the (non-)technological barriers we encounter during our port greening journey. Ann Verhetsel guides around in London
Prof. Ann Verhetsel was invited by the VRP (Association of Flemish Planners) from 31/5/23-2/6/23 and the VLA (Association of Flemish Geography Teachers) from 3/7/23-5/7/23 to guide them around London. The impact of global transformations on office and retail real estate and on residential dynamics was studied in The City, around Covent Garden and on the Southbank.

Elena Prozorova joined TPR on 1 August as a junior researcher on a VLAIO Baekeland project co-funded by ColdJet, on Innovative & Sustainable Cold Supply Chain Management & Distribution.

Emelia O'Neill joined TPR on 1 September as a junior researcher on the Horizon Europe project CRISTAL, which focuses on climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable transport infrastructure, with a focus on inland waterways.

Stephen Rakoma joined TPR on 1 August as a junior researcher on the VLAIO project ZEE, focused on complex supply chains where access to data from multiple stakeholders is critical in view of network transparency.

Katelyn Tahaney joined TPR on 1 September as a junior researcher on the Chair Dennie Lockefeer. Katelyn will do research on how to stimulate the uptake of intermodal transportation with rail and inland navigation.

From 21 August till 1 September, TPR hosted the 6th edition of its Summer School Urban Logistics. 40 participants enjoyed two weeks of academic and sector lectures, excursions and workshops.
