July 2020   USI partner of new Hannah Arendt Institute On Wednesday 27 May 2020, VUB and the University of Antwerp have launched the Hannah Arendt Institute for Diversity, Urbanity and Citizenship, supported by the city of Mechelen and Flemish Minister Bart Somers. Stijn Oosterlynck will represent USI in the institute, which will organize activities that will translate scientific research into practice in the city. Find out more about the new institute   New innovation hub Stadsform Stadsform is a new innovation hub in Antwerp that will bring people together to talk about tomorrow's cities. (Dutch)   New research at USI The Urban Studies Institute has received very good news from both the FWO Vlaanderen funding agency and the European Commission: one SBO proposal and two MSCA-ITN-ETNs supported by USI were approved! A wonderful reward for all the common efforts and the intense preparations by the involved researchers. We are looking forward to getting started on these three interdisciplinary projects. .   1.
