Thesis Prize @ Chair Dennie Lockefeer

In 2021, the Dennie Lockefeer Chair will award the thesis prize for the second time. This prize (1000 euro) is intended for the best thesis on a related topic to inland navigation.

TPR contributes to the Masterclass Global Supply Chain & Logistics by the European Supply Chain Forum. The Master involves a series of classes focusing on important and emerging topics within Supply Chain Management and Logistics.

Ann Verhetsel appointed KiM fellow

Ann Verhetsel got appointed as a fellow with the Dutch Kennisinstituut voor Mobiliteit, who delivers knowledge support to transport policymaking in The Netherlands. Ann will support with insights on the knowledge track mobility and accessibility, both for passengers and freight.

TPR alumnus wins Flows Award

TPR alumnus Dieter Havermans won the Flows Award 2020, with his thesis on the applicability of batteries for inland navigation propulsion, under supervision of Edwin van Hassel. Dieter graduated from TPR's master maritiem en logistiek management.

TPR alumnus wins TML thesis prize

TPR alumnus Simon Weekx wins the TML thesis prize with his thesis on 'Empirical research into the effects of dominant airline companies on the technical efficiency of airports', supervised by Sven Buyle.

SPEED Smart Port blogs

Valentin Carlan wrote a series of blogs from his work in preparing the Smart Port Manifesto with the SPEED project.

External TransportNET PhD Ana Karamigkou

Eddy Van de Voorde and Thierry Vanelslander were members of the PhD jury of Anna Karamigkou (University of the Aegean), who succesfully defended her PhD on the topic of 'A model estimation of the potential demand for alternative fuel technologies in transportation'.
